The Leaving

The piper calls
the white lady comes
desending on the stairway
to collect my soul
as my life source drains
and the world starts to fade
away fall in the abyss

The wolf invited me to dine
with him in the dead of night
amongst the grey slabs of stones
he allowed me to carve
the icy knife slid across the meat
and roses of deepest  red
stained the white silk cloth

AS the day dissipated
and the dragon ate the sun
a pure, white light appeared
and my heart still beating like the soft drum
fled from mt body, consumed by the light
To the dreaming world my soul took flight
and amongst the stars I now sleep
with love and comfort, hope and peace
I am forever protected.
